There will be a new moon in Shatabisha nakshatra in Capricorn on February 27th. Shatabisha means ‘requiring a hundred physicians’ and is symbolized by an empty circle. Its Shakti is to heal and its desire is to be firm and steady. It is ruled by Varuna, the god of waters and magical powers.
This nakshatra gives interest in esoteric subjects and the occult (the unknown). It may give interest in astrology, metaphysics, or research in general. It has an affinity for water and can draw a person towards bodies of water. It gives a strong sense of what’s right and fair with clarity and integrity.
The meaning of a hundred physicians gives it a prominent alternative healing interest. When one physician is not enough and does not answer all the questions, other physicians or modalities are sought out to get to the root of the healing issue. If placed well in the chart, a healing is found, if afflicted in the chart, the healing can be elusive.
This next lunar month gives support for finding healing for (long standing) issues. Has there been a physical or mental ailment that has lingered or is recurring. Seeking out multiple modalities and getting closer to resolving the issue is supported. A little effort can go a long way towards better health in this month.
